about

Fans of Fink will recognise all of the band’s most coveted elements in the release of a new 12”, “Fall Into the Light / Pilgrim,” even if cloaked in very different sonic sheaths. A-side “Fall Into the Light”—one of Horizontalism’s most shadowy but effervescent tracks—is subject to an exercise in minimalism from Margaret Dygas. The Panorama Bar resident and Perlon artist reduces the track to its very core but retains all its richness. On the flipside, R&S signee and Noise Manifesto curator Paula Temple delivers two takes on album standout “Pilgrim”: one all dancefloor danger and the other a captivating ambient mix to get lost with in a different way. All three find a home on R’COUP’D on 27 November.
